Each filter cartridge needs replacement every 200 gallons or 2 months, although cartridge life can vary depending on your water usage and conditions. Annual costs are considerably higher than what you pay for most other faucet mounted units.
Don't worry, replacing the filter is not difficult at all – at least in theory (more on this in a bit): Simply unscrew the cap from underneath the housing, and the cartridge will drop down into your hand. Dispose of the old cartridge and insert a new one. Turn 2 and a half full turns until it stops. Open the faucet and check for leaks. Tighten the cap if needed. Lastly, flush the new cartridge for at least 10 minutes to remove all carbon fines.
The Culligan FM-25 Polished Chrome faucet mount filter offers on-tap convenience and is ideal for individuals seeking a solution to the #1 water quality issue as identified by consumers - that of bad tastes and odors in their water. This filter goes even further in protecting against additional water issues that are of concern.
The FM-25 provides Level 3 – Advanced Filtration for the reduction of bad taste & odor, aesthetic chlorine taste & odor, sediment, lead, cysts such as giardia and cryptosporidium, turbidity, atrazine, lindane, and particulate class I. The filter cartridge has a life of up to 200 gallons or 2 months.
